Elegant Centerpiece with Royal Lace® Doilies and Floral Accents
This elegant centerpiece is easy to make and perfect for special occasions like weddings, holidays, or seasonal celebrations. Using delicate Royal Lace® doilies and a natural grapevine wreath, you can create a charming decoration that adds warmth and beauty to any table.
To get started, you’ll need a 12″ Royal Lace® medallion doily and a 6″ white medallion doily—nestled together for a layered look. Place them over a 6″ grapevine wreath fitted with a piece of oasis foam or styrofoam cut to size. Secure everything in place using floral pins.
Next, add Spanish moss to cover the foam and give the centerpiece a soft, natural base. Decorate with satin or dried flowers for color and texture. Use craft glue or a glue gun to hold everything in place.
In just a few easy steps, you’ll have a unique, handmade centerpiece that brings elegance and creativity to any event.
Materials Needed:
- 1 12″ Royal Lace® medallion doily
- 1 6″ Royal Lace® white medallion doily-2 nestled doilies work best
- 6” grapevine wreath
- Oasis foam or styrofoam, cut to fit inside grapevine wreath
- Floral pins
- Spanish moss
- Satin or dried flowers
- Craft glue or glue gun

To create your decorative centerpiece, start by gluing the 6-inch round doily to the bottom of the grapevine wreath. Then, place a piece of oasis foam or Styrofoam in the center of the wreath and secure it with glue (as shown in Figure A).
Next, take the 12-inch round doily and fold it in half. Fold it loosely again to create a fan shape (see Figure B). Using floral pins, attach the fan to the center of the foam block.
To cover the foam, pin Spanish moss around it until it’s completely hidden. Finally, arrange flowers on both sides of the fan for a balanced and elegant look (as shown in Figure D).
Your handmade doily wreath centerpiece is now ready to brighten up any table or event!
- Glue 6” round doily to bottom of grapevine wreath and then glue oasis foam or Styrofoam into middle of wreath (FIG. A)
