Here’s a fun Craft Camp Corner Project Idea for Kids that’s perfect for summer creativity and hands-on play. This summer, I wanted to create something hands-on, colorful, and fun for kids. Something that would spark creativity off screens and bring real joy through making and decorating. That’s how this DIY Craft Camp Corner idea came to life. I used the Royal Brites 3D Tri-Fold Display Board as the foundation.

With its built-in header and shelf, this display board was the perfect structure for building a miniature summer camp experience. We set it up outdoors on a sunny afternoon, and the results were too cute not to share!

How I Made Our Craft Camp Corner

We started by choosing a blank white 3D Tri-Fold Display Board as our base. Then, we gathered fun and colorful accessories to bring the display to life. Many of these accessories are available right here on theroyalstore.com.

Here’s how we put it together:

Theme Title (“SUMMER CAMP”)
– Cut letters from neon poster board sheets or use letter stickers (like the ones in our Make-A-Poster Kit)
– We placed this on the header panel for maximum visibility.
Craft Scene Centerpiece (“Craft Camp”)
– The central landscape was created using layered construction paper in bold colors.
– We added small 3D foam trees and hand-cut umbrellas for extra texture.
– This section is great for showing off mini sculptures or paper crafts—easily propped up using the board’s built-in shelf.
Side Panels – Decorative Elements
– On the left: we made little themed banners using twine and triangle paper cutouts, and included a “camper of the day” note.
– On the right: we glued on a mini poem, foam shapes, and used colorful pens for headings.
Top Decorations
– The 3D rosettes and paper suns were made from folded colored paper.
