Royal Lace® Doily Crafts

Let’s make a pretty flower called a Doily Narcissus! First, take one Royal Lace® doily and pinch it right in the middle. Give it a little twist so it looks like a flower. Hold the bottom part tight and wrap some sticky tape around it to keep it in place. Now make three more flowers just like that.

Next, take a flower wire or a stick and bend the top just a little. Put all four flowers around the top of the wire. Hold them tightly and wrap tape around the bottom to keep them together. Then, wrap green floral tape all the way down the wire to make the stem.

Now, fold the green paper to make a leaf. Place the leaf on the stem and stick it with some tape. Do the same thing with a second leaf.

You did it! You made a beautiful flower! If you want, you can add a ribbon and make a lovely bouquet.

Doily Narcissus-Materials Needed:

• Floral tape & floral wire
• Transparent Tape
• Green Paper 8.5 x 11”
• 1 Royal Lace® medallion doily
• (optional) ribbons for tying into bouquet

Doily Narcissus-Directions:

1. Grasp center of doily and make a twist, causing doily o ruffle into a bunch.
   Pinch together at bottom tightly and wrap with short piece of transparent tape. Repeat for 3 more blooms.
2. Taking a 12” length of wire, loop one end back about ½” for blossom end.
3. Place the looped end in center of the 4 blooms. Arrange evenly. Gather the ends securely around the wire and tape tightly. Cover the bunch of twisted ends tightly with floral tape.
4. Continue to wrap floral tape around this portion, then down entire length of wire. You can do another layer of tape for a thicker stem.
5. Fold leaves in center and place on stem where desired. Attach the stem end of leaf with short piece of floral tape. Repeat for send leaf.
