How to Create a Fun Fall and Halloween Bulletin Board

Materials You Will Need:
Here are some recommended supplies you can use for this project (all available at The Royal Store):

- Poster Board – Primary Assorted 2 Cool Colors, 14×22, 3-pack

- Poster Board – Primary Neon Assorted 2 Cool Colors, 14×22, 5-pack
- Heavyweight Black Poster Board, 22×28
- Scenic Letterhead 8.5×11, 100-pack

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Background
Use the Heavyweight Black Poster Board (22×28) as your main background. Dark colors make autumn leaves, pumpkins, and the moon stand out.
- Decorative Border
Cut strips from the Primary Assorted 2 Cool Colors poster boards and glue them around the edges to frame the display.
- The Tree
Cut a trunk and branches from brown paper (or color a board). If you want dimension, layer pieces of poster board for a 3D effect.
- Owls
Use assorted poster boards to cut oval bodies, big round eyes, small beaks, and wings. Glue the owls to the tree branches.
- Pumpkins
From the Fluorescent Neon Orange Poster Board, cut overlapping ovals. Add stems with green paper. Cluster them at the bottom of the board.
- Autumn Leaves
Cut leaf shapes in red, yellow, and green from the assorted packs. Scatter them around to create the effect of falling leaves.
- Halloween Details
- Moon & Bat: Cut a large circle from white paper and place a black bat silhouette over it.
- Ghost: Use white Scenic Letterhead for a ghost shape. Tie a ribbon around its “neck” and draw eyes with a marker.
- Arrange & Glue
Lay out all shapes before gluing. Once satisfied, glue or tape the elements in place. For heavier or layered parts, use adhesive dots or foam tape.
Final Touches
- Outline shapes with a black marker for extra definition.
- Slightly curl leaves for a natural effect.
- Add glitter or textured paper if you want sparkle.
